COVID-19 Guest Information

Dear Guests of Stonehouse Villa,

First and foremost thank you for your loving support of your family member or friend on their upcoming celebration! We've created this page with you in mind to let you know an event during these times can happen, and can happen safely! We want to prepare you for what to expect while attending an event at Stonehouse Villa by sharing the safety protocols that we have in place. We want to help ensure everyone stays safe, while still having fun! We look forward to being able to celebrate soon!

If you have additional questions regarding a specific upcoming event please email us at

Guest Protocols To Follow While Attending Event --

  • Guests must self-screen prior to entry for new signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19. If having come into contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 within the last two weeks we highly recommend not attending unless tested negative. If feeling ill or have a temperature of or above 100.0°F please do not attend. If able, we recommend getting a rapid result COVID-19 test prior to attending the event or self quarantining the two weeks leading up to the event. (Rapid result tests can be conducted for anyone not experiencing symptoms for free with insurance, or for a fee without insurance at multiple locations.)

  • We strongly recommend for any at-risk guest, or guests over the age of 65 with health conditions to not attend the wedding if possible and participate remotely. If deciding to attend - assume the risks and keep distance from other groups, including during ceremony and dinner.

  • Guests must practice good hygiene by frequently washing hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, especially after touching frequently used items or surfaces, or use hand sanitizer.

  • Guests must cough or sneeze into a tissue, or the inside of your elbow.

  • Guests must practice social distancing and maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other groups, unless with the same household or 'group'.

  • Guests must maintain social distancing when waiting in line for drinks at the bar or food buffet using designated 6 foot markers on floor. When approaching the bar please keep distance until drink order is ready to take.

  • Guests are not permitted to enter indoor reception hall prior to the start of the reception in order to ensure dining tables, chairs, decor, etc. is not touched by a guest that is not sitting at that particular table or chair.

  • Per Governor Abbott's Executive Order GA-29: Guests must wear a mask over their nose and mouth. This includes upon entry to the venue, and at all times when indoors (I.e. using the restroom, getting drinks from the bar, food from buffet, sitting in lounge areas, socially moving about, and dancing, etc.). Masks are not required when actively eating, drinking or if outdoors and able to socially distance properly from other groups, but please put mask on prior to getting up from dining table to socially move about indoors.

  • Ceremony Seating: Please allow at least 6 feet of separation between other groups. Households and 'groups' ('groups' are people attending the wedding together) can sit adjacent to one another, but please leave 2 empty seats on either side.

Stonehouse Villa Protocols To Help Ensure Your Safety --

  • We will be cleaning and disinfecting the venue prior to any event. Venue staff will be frequently sanitizing commonly touched surfaces during the event (hand railings, door knobs, restroom knobs, etc).

  • We have the ability to host an indoor reception for up to 160 seated indoors or an outdoor reception for up to 120 seated outdoors under our tent, or additional tables added to the surrounding lawns, which is decided upon by the client.

  • If dinner is hosted indoors we will be requiring certain doors to remain open for the full event for proper air filtration. Certain doors will remain closed to help keep the venue cooled down in the warmer months. Please note signs posted on doors and following them.

  • We're requiring client to have assigned tables for dinner. These dining tables have to follow TX health guidelines of no more than 10 guests per table and tables must be 6 feet apart. We are encouraging all clients to assign tables for households or 'groups' who are attending together only.

  • We will have designated safe areas reserved for any at-risk guest who is attending.  Please pre-request if needed, or notify a staff member upon arrival if possible.

    • Ceremony: Chairs set up under tent away from other guests, completely shaded.

    • Cocktail Hour: Lounge area in front foyer is 100% reserved for any at-risk guest away from other lounge areas.

    • Dinner: Separate dining table and chairs can be set up away from other dining guests either in front foyer, cocktail hall or outside under tented reception deck upon request.

  • All venue staff and outside client hired vendors are required to wear a mask at all times. Vendors handling food or drink are required to wear gloves.

  • Client hired catering team is required to follow TX Health Guidelines for serving food, such as serving guests at the buffet and eliminating any self-service stations.

  • Coordinator or DJ will be releasing tables if client is having a food buffet to ensure one table at a time is standing in line together.

  • We will have wall mounted hand sanitizer stations for guests use at main foyer door, cocktail bar, main reception foyer door and reception bar.

  • We will have an acknowledgment sign upon entry to the venue reminding guests of safety precautions and assuming the risks with attending event, including a small takeaway reminder.

  • We will have signs reminding of mask usage, social distancing and general hygiene placed around the venue.
